Parking spaces and trailers at the Heuerhaus Balkum

During the pandemic, we realized how lucky we are to live on a large property in nature. We wanted and want to share this happiness and are therefore looking forward to our 6th season as hosts! What started in 2020 with a space and the possibility to use a toilet has developed over the years into one of our favorite pastimes - welcoming great people, some of whom we now count as our friends, on what are now 3 pitches and in a converted trailer! While at the beginning there was only the space and the toilet, we now have electricity everywhere, various water connections and a solar shower outside, as well as a refrigerator, sink and cooking facilities in the house. If you don't like dogs, or are bothered by the noise of a cowshed or crowing roosters, you'll probably be happier somewhere else. And if you're travelling in a group or want to party loudly, you'll certainly be happier somewhere else. However, if you want to set up your motorhome, caravan, tent, roof tent or folding tent for a few days and relax in a lively farming community in the cultural landscape of Lower Saxony, this is the right place. If you are travelling alone, you will find a really comfortable bed, chest of drawers, armchair, a few books and no WiFi in the trailer, but plenty of fresh air and relaxation. Barbecues, hiking or geocaching are always possible. To visit the heated outdoor pool (open from May to September) or a grocery store, you need a vehicle. There is no public transport here, apart from the school bus. We do not offer waste disposal. Of course, the chickens are always happy to receive leftovers and coffee grounds are a great fertilizer. Black water can be drained at one of the stations in the area. On the weekends we often have a campfire or a barbecue together. These are always great opportunities to chat. We have already made many great memories with our guests! We look forward to welcoming you. As we all work or go to school, we can only welcome you from 4 p.m. onwards during the week. At weekends we are more flexible and can welcome you earlier. We therefore ask you to let us know in advance approximately when you will arrive so that we can make sure that someone is at home. Please plan your stay with us well in advance and book a few days in advance. Even if the system allows for instant booking on the same day, we would like to prepare for your visit and possibly consider other dates.
